MEMBERSHIP

The World Affairs Council of Charlotte (WACC) was founded in 1983 as an outreach program of UNC Charlotte and its Office of International Programs. As a non-profit, non-partisan organization, it is supported by private funding from individual and corporate member dues and contributions. As a regional center for education and discussion of world affairs, the Council seeks to provide leadership for global thinking, believing that a broad perspective is necessary for effective competition in the global economy and for responsible citizenship in the increasingly interdependent political world.

The WACC is a non-partisan, non-profit organization. We are privately funded through foundation grants, corporate partnerships, and membership dues and contributions. CORPORATE MEMBERSHIP

Our corporate members also receive a number of benefits. Being a corporate member is a great way for internationally-minded companies to network, as well as to keep abreast of news and issues in regions of the world where they do business. Many times Council speakers and experts have paid private visits to our member companies to give briefings and updates on global issues to top executives, international trade divisions, and global risk analysts.
