Do you ever wonder about the influence world events, global social happenings, and the geo-economic and political climate have on the work of artists around the world?

Please join The Magellan Society of the World Affairs Council and the Contemporaries of McColl Center for Visual Art for an engaging and interactive discussion focusing on these topics, featuring artists with experience observing, absorbing, interpreting and exploring issues in various areas of the world through their art. Current Center Artist-in-Residence, Khaled Hafez will be lead discussion while referencing his own artwork and how it explores dichotomies existing in the international system of commodities.

After discussions, you will also have a chance to tour around the facility and view the current exhibitions celebrating the Center's 10 year anniversary.
